Create a Journey

When creating a Journey you will need to have first already created the Rewards and Tokens you wish to use in the Journey.

1. Once you are ready to create a Journey, navigate to the Journeys page from the main navigation menu on the left of Tronic Studio. From there, select "Create a Journey" in the top right corner. If you have not yet published a journey, this button will appear in the Journey table as well.

2. You've now created a draft Journey. The left side of the Journey creation canvas is where you can add and edit all details pertaining to the Journey as a whole.

  • Journey Details - This contains information the user will see

    • Title

    • Subtitle

    • Short Description

    • Journey Feed Location

      • Useful if you want to pin a Journey to the top of the feed to ensure users see the most important Journeys

    • Introduction Video (Optional)

  • Appearance

    • Thumbnail

    • Hero Image

    • Accent Color

  • Participation

    • Select whether users can enter this Journey more than once.

  • Additional Info (optional)

    • This is a rich text editor where you can include anything else you'd like the user to know including terms & conditions

3. Build out your Journey with a variety of Steps. To see your options, select the "Create" button on the center of the page. These options are used to build the individual steps that make up the Journey.

Four types of Steps can be used to build your journey and can be arranged in any order, however they are only going to make sense in certain orders. The Steps happen in sequential order. The purpose and options for each Step are listed Below.

  • Checkpoint

    • Checkpoints are the tasks the user must complete to finish the Journey. There are several different types of Checkpoints each with their own configuration needs. To learn more about Checkpoints, visit Create a Checkpoint.

  • Issue Token

    • The issue token option is most commonly used as the last step in a Journey as to reward your users for completing the Journey. However, you can issue tokens at any point in your Journey. To learn more about Tokens, visit Create a Token

  • Issue Reward

    • The issue reward option is most commonly used as the last step in a Journey as to reward your users for completing the Journey. However, you can issue rewards at any point in your Journey.

  • Filter

    • The filter option allows you to limit the users who are allowed to continue on the Journey. This could be your first step if for example, you wanted to only allow users that have previously completed another journey to have access to this Journey. Filters can be configured in a variety of ways. To learn more about Filters, visit Create a Filter.

4. Save a draft of the Journey. Journeys will auto-save as you work on them.
